Find your perfect fit

Every Kagenoishi ring is made to order, so getting the size right matters. It only takes a few minutes. Use one of the methods below and check your result against the chart.

D – inner diameter of the ring.

C – circumference of your finger.

Method 1 – Measure a ring you already own

  1. Take a ring that fits the finger you plan to wear the new one on.
  2. Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (D) from edge to edge, in millimetres.
  3. Find the closest diameter in the chart below.
Method 2 – Measure your finger

  1. Wrap a thin strip of paper or a string around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark the point where it overlaps. Make sure it is snug but slides over the knuckle.
  3. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres. This is your circumference (C).
  4. Your EU size is the same number as your circumference in millimetres (for example, 57 mm = size 57).
Method 3 – Ask a jeweller. Any local jewellery store can measure your.

  1. Tips for an accurate measurementMeasure at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest.
  2. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold. Fingers shrink in the cold and swell in the heat.
  3. If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
  4. Your dominant hand is usually slightly larger.
  5. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
  6. Measure 2-3 times to be sure.

Care for your Silver

Silver is alive. It changes with you.

Your piece is made from sterling silver 925: 92.5% pure silver with a small amount of copper for strength. Over time, silver reacts with air, skin and moisture and slowly darkens. This is natural, and with a little care your piece will stay beautiful for years.

About the dark details

Many Kagenoishi pieces have an oxidised finish: the recesses and textures, like the dragon scales, are intentionally darkened to bring out the depth of the design. Please don’t try to remove it. Polish only the raised, shiny surfaces.
Everyday care

  • Last on, first off. Put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off first.
  • Take it off before swimming (pools, sea), showering, sauna, sports, the gym, cleaning and sleeping.
  • Keep it away from chemicals: chlorine, bleach, household cleaners and acetone can damage silver and the oxidised finish.
  • Wear it often. Gentle contact with skin keeps silver bright. Pieces left in a drawer tarnish faster.
Cleaning

  • Light tarnish: gently rub the raised surfaces with a silver polishing cloth.
  • Everyday dirt: wash in warm water with a drop of mild soap, use a soft brush for textured areas, rinse and dry completely with a soft cloth.
  • Avoid: silver dips and liquid cleaners, toothpaste, baking soda, ultrasonic cleaners and abrasive cloths on oxidised areas. They will strip the dark finish and scratch the surface.
